Evaluation strategy and dissemination
The challenge:
Develop a robust market research evaluation strategy that follows ethical standards fit for publication and dissemination to scientific, commercial and lay audiences. Evaluate nurse-led caregiver support and disseminate the results through peer-reviewed publications.
What we did:
- Produced a market research plan, outlining objectives, method and data analysis for a pilot evaluation, to be submitted for ethical review to an international institutional review board.
- Designed a process and database to collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative data from nurses and caregivers.
- Developed a system for producing a series of evaluation reports to assess the program’s success.
The outcome:
The detailed market research plan has enabled global and local medical and legal teams to be confident the research conducted will be compliant. Staggered analysis of research results will facilitate multiple internal and external communications regarding the success of the program. An initial abstract was presented at a global rare-disease nurse meeting.
